Tour Plans

Day 1

Leh to Sham Valley

Arrival at Leh airport, leave for Sham Valley passing through some scenic villages along the Indus River. Upon arrival, check in to your reserved accommodation for a complete day of rest. O/N Sham Valley.

Day 2

Sham Valley – Lamayuru - Padum

After breakfast, drive to Lamayuru, one of the oldest monasteries of Ladakh & enjoy the spectacular moonlike landscape unfold around you as you reach the Lamayuru Monastery. Later drive towards Zanskar by Photoksar over Sir Sir la Pass (4850m). You will witness the Zanskar Range as well as our next pass, Singge La Pass (5090m). Later we cross Singgela, the highest pass on this route, and reach Lingshed. Continue driving towards Zanskar by crossing Kilima bridge and then reach Zangla, if time permits, visit Zangla Fort. Evening you will reach Zanskar Padum. O/N Padum

Day 3

Zanskar local sightseeing (Sani Village, Karsha Monastery, Stongdey Monastery)

Morning after breakfast, drive to visit Sani village and Monastery and visit Zongkhul Monastery. Later, drive back to Padum and proceed to Stongdey Monastery, renowned as the second largest monastery in Zanskar. After Stongdey, drive to Karsha Monastery, the largest monastery in Zanskar, and later drive back to Padum. O/N Padum.

Day 4

Padum – Barden Monastery – Lungna Valley – Khangsar Purne

After breakfast, drive towards Lungna Valley in Zanskar. On the way, visit Barden Monastery and other villages. Reach Khangsar Purni and spend the night at Tara Mountain Sarai in Khangsar. O/N Khangsar

Day 5

Day Hike to Phukthal Monastery (3 hours of Hike)

This is the most memorable day of your entire tour. You will hike to Phukthal Monastery, the oldest and most beautiful monastery. Spend some time at the monastery with the monks and hike back to your camp. O/N Khangsar

Day 6

Purne - Padum - Leh

Today you will drive back to Leh via the same route, arriving at Leh. O/N Leh

Day 7

Leh - Rest day

Full day at Leisure & Rest. O/N Leh.

Day 8

Leh

Morning transfer to Leh airport to board the flight back to your destination. Journey Ends.
